Porto Montenegro

Heatstar units feature in possibly the world’s most exclusive marina resort - Porto Montenegro

A new exclusive marina resort is being developed in the Bay of Kotor on the Dalmatian coast of the Adriatic Sea between Greece and Croatia – Porto Montenegro.

Porto Montenegro is being billed as the St Tropez of the Adriatic and has been built to be one of the very few marinas with berths and facilities to accommodate the world’s largest superyachts. This £520 million resort includes luxury apartments, hotels, exclusive shops and restaurants, a yacht club and a choice of two golf clubs.

At the heart of the resort is the aesthetically beautiful Lido Mar swimming pool. With its 215 ft infinity pool and its stylish surroundings it is the perfect venue for the super rich to relax and party. In fact it was the venue recently for Nat Rothschild of the famous banking dynasty to hold his 40th birthday party. His guests included Roman Abramovich, Jimmy Choo shoes boss Tamara Mellon and Lord Mandelson.

The best demand the best and when it came to heating this state of the art infinity pool the project specifiers chose Heatstar as the acknowledged market leader in pool heating and environmental control systems.

A pool of this size and sophistication,in this location, requires a high quality heat pump unit which is totally reliable in operation. Also a unit which is powerful enough to maintain the heating levels demanded and offer the opportunity to extend the season. Heatstar’s range includes just such a product - the Aquarius 16 SDF aerothermal heat pump. To ensure a flawless heating performance this installation required three of these units. Each unit outputs 85.6 kw at 20 degrees ambient air temperature.

Heatstar high capacity commercial heat pump systems – big capacity systems for big pools.
