Clifford Health Club and Spa near Nottingham is a stylish mixture of the old and the new with 25,000 square feet located across four floors of a converted lace mill building, plus a recently opened £2,000,000 extension adding a further 24,000 sq ft.The club is light, airy and spacious with an impressive range of over 650 pieces of top of the range cardiovascular and resistance equipment.Grayfox Pools built all the wet leisure facilities at the club including a 22 metre swimming pool, 2 hydrotherapy pools, steam room, sauna, heated loungers, foot spas, a fire and ice spa and air purifiers.

To ensure the environmental control system reflected the same high quality, state of the art facilities Grayfox specified their long time preferred supplier of pool climate control – Heatstar. The environmental control unit which Heatstar and Grayfox specified for the project was the XF EC 12000 Super Plus.This is a high efficiency heat recovery ventilation system.Centred upon a high efficiency “Cross Flow” plate air to air heat recuperator, the XF utilises fresh air introduction to provide natural dehumidification and utilises the recuperator to maximise heat extraction from the expelled room air.The XF utilises the latest “Blue-EC” ultra-efficient, intelligent digital inverter fan technology and is fully compliant with the latest building control regulations for both residential and non-residential applications.
